New Studios | New System

Our New Milton Home

After years of planning, design, and construction, we’re almost ready to open the doors to our brand-new Premier Dance studios at Milton Village (above the new Coles). This beautiful, purpose-built space has been thoughtfully designed to provide the very best experience for our students and families - featuring four large studios, two small studios (for conditioning, singing and private lessons), fully sprung floors, air-conditioning, exclusive bathroom amenities, and expansive reception and waiting areas.

Our new studios will bring together everything we love about Premier Dance — a warm community, inspiring teachers, and an environment where every dancer can thrive. We’ll be beginning our soft move-in very soon, with a grand opening celebration planned for early 2026.

Transition to Studio Pro

In 2026, Premier Dance will transition to Studio Pro as our new studio management system. This exciting change will simplify how families register for classes, make payments, and access the Parent Portal, providing a smoother, more user-friendly experience for everyone.

We’ll guide you through each step with clear instructions along the way, so please rest assured there’s nothing you need to do just yet.

Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Classical Ballet

From Grade 1 at school | Milton & Clayfield

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus provides a world-recognised foundation in classical ballet. Students begin with Pre-Primary level in Grade 1 at school, attending 1 × 45-minute class per week. In Grade 2, they progress to the Primary level with 2 × 45-minute classes weekly. From Grade 3, dancers move into RAD Grade 1 Ballet, where Character work is introduced as part of the syllabus. Through Grades 2–4 RAD, students attend 2 × 1-hour classes each week, continuing to refine technique, artistry, and musicality. After Grade 4, dancers advance to the RAD Vocational Grades, where pointe work begins when individually appropriate.

Royal Ballet ATAP Programme

From Prep at school | Milton & Clayfield

Our Royal Ballet School Affiliate Training & Assessment Programme (ATAP) classes provide an inspiring introduction to classical ballet for students who wish to learn ballet technique without the full commitment of RAD classes. Replacing our former Open Beginner Ballet option, these classes follow the Royal Ballet School’s world-class training approach, focusing on artistry, musicality, and movement quality in a supportive environment. Two levels are offered - Prep & Grade 1 and Grade 2 & 3 - allowing students to progress at their own pace while developing confidence and a love of classical dance. Students may also take this class alongside their RAD ballet training, however it cannot replace an RAD class where two classes per week are required from the Primary level.

Jazz

From Pre-Kindy age | MIlton & Clayfield

Our Jazz program combines energy, rhythm, and expression - developing confident, versatile dancers through both Comdance syllabus and Open Jazz pathways. The Comdance Jazz Syllabus is now available for students also enrolled in RAD Ballet from Primary level (Grade 2 at school and up). This structured syllabus builds strong foundations in technique, coordination, and performance quality through graded progressions. Open Jazz classes are available from Grade 2 at school, offering upbeat, contemporary choreography to current pop and commercial music. These classes focus on dynamic movement, flexibility, turns, leaps, and expressive style - perfect for students who love high-energy dance. Early introduction to Jazz begins in our Junior Dancers program, through Tiny Jazz & Tap (for Pre-Kindy & Kindy) and Petite Jazz & Tap (for Prep & Grade 1). Each class nurtures musicality, rhythm, and joy through engaging, age-appropriate music and movement.

Contemporary

From Grade 2 at school | Milton & Clayfield

We offer both Rambert Contemporary Syllabus and Open Contemporary classes, allowing students to explore expressive and creative movement at every stage. From RAD Grade 3 Ballet, students may train in the Rambert Contemporary Syllabus, developing technique, artistry, and performance through structured progression. For students from Grade 2 at school who do not study classical ballet, Open Contemporary provides a free-flowing, exploratory style that focuses on musicality, strength, and creativity.

Tap

From Pre-Kindy age | Milton & Clayfield

Tap develops rhythm, coordination, and musical awareness through dynamic footwork and timing. Premier Dance follows the Comdance Tap Syllabus, offering structured progression from early childhood to senior levels. Students are first introduced to Tap in our Junior Dancers program through Tiny Jazz & Tap (Pre-Kindy & Kindy) and Petite Jazz & Tap (Prep & Grade 1). From Grade 2 onwards, students may progress through the graded Comdance syllabus, exploring both classic and contemporary styles.

Hip Hop

From Prep age | Milton & Clayfield

High-energy and expressive, Hip Hop classes celebrate individuality and creativity through movement. Students learn safe and healthy vocal technique, breath control, pitch, rhythm, and expression while developing confidence in both group and solo performance. Lessons combine fun vocal exercises with creative repertoire and performance opportunities, helping students strengthen their musicality and communication skills in a supportive environment.

Musical Theatre

From Grade 2 at school | MIlton

Musical Theatre combines singing, acting, and dance to create confident, versatile performers who can express emotion and storytelling through movement and voice. Many students choose to complement their training by joining our Singing program, led by renowned vocal coach Chrissy Bowden, to further develop their vocal technique and stage confidence. Together, these programs offer a complete performing arts experience, nurturing creativity, teamwork, and communication.

Acro

From Prep at school | MIlton & Clayfield

Acro blends the artistry of dance with controlled acrobatic movement, building strength, flexibility, and balance in a safe, progressive way. Classes are carefully structured to develop body awareness and spatial control, with progressions tailored to each student’s ability. From Prep and Grade 1 (Petite Acro) through to advanced levels, students gain confidence mastering foundational tumbling, flexibility, and partner skills. All Acro classes are taught on professional mats with correct spotting and safety techniques.

Heels

Grade 11 & 12 at school | MIlton

Our Heels classes empower dancers to embrace confidence, precision, and style through strong, controlled choreography performed in heeled footwear. With a focus on posture, lines, and fluid transitions, students learn to balance elegance with power while refining performance quality. Open to students in Grade 11 & 12, Heels offers a supportive space for self-expression and stage-ready performance technique.

Stretch & Conditioning

Prep at school | Milton

Designed to support all dancers in achieving their technical and physical goals, this class builds strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. Open to all ages from Prep and up, this class is the perfect complement to any dance style.

Company

Primary - Advanced 2 RAD Ballet | Milton & Clayfield

Our Premier Dance Company classes are performance-based groups for students who love being on stage and wish to extend their training through performance. Company dancers develop teamwork, discipline, and stagecraft through appearances at community events, the Day of Dance fundraising concert, and our annual End-of-Year Concert. Participation fosters leadership, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging while supporting meaningful local causes.
