🩰 Performer Information

Drop Off & Pick Up

💖‎ Arrival: Please drop your child at the St Peters PAC 60 minutes before their concert start time. This ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ allows time for check‑in and settling before the performance.

💖 Pick‑Up: At the end of the show, performers will be brought onto the stage with their class group for ‎collection. One parent should remain in the auditorium and move to the stage when their child’s class name is called. Senior students (14+) are welcome to meet their parents in the theatre lobby.

💖 During the Show: For safety and performance flow, performers cannot be collected during the show ‎except in emergencies or exceptional circumstances.

💖 More Details Coming: Full drop‑off and pick‑up instructions will be shared closer to concert day.

What to Bring

To help the concert day run smoothly, please ensure your child arrives with:

✅ Correct tights, shoes, and undergarments (see Performer Requirements).

✅ Hair and makeup already done before arrival.

✅ Loose, comfortable outer clothing to wear over tights/undergarments before changing into costume.

✅ Water bottle (full & labelled with your child’s name).

✅ Small, non‑messy snack if your child will be at the theatre for an extended time (no nut products please).

✅ Any personal medical items your child may require (labelled clearly).

Medical Action Plans & Medical Items

If your child has a medical condition requiring an Action Plan, please ensure:

📑 We have received the most up‑to‑date copy before the concert date.

📑 Your child’s medical notes in your Parent Portal are up tp date.

📑 Any required medical items (e.g. inhaler, EpiPen) are labelled and brought with your child on concert day.

Please Do Not Bring

❌ Valuables, jewellery, or large bags - space backstage is limited.

❌ Any unnamed items - please name all belongings to avoid mix‑ups. We cannot be responsible for lost items.

Performer Requirements

Hair, Makeup, Tights & Shoes

To help our performers bring their character to life and feel confident on stage, we have simple requirements for hair, makeup, tights, shoes, and undergarments.

Hair:

✨ Ballet: Neat ballet bun, centre back of head, secured with hair elastic, bun pins, hair net, and gel/hairspray.

✨ Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Singing, Musical Theatre, Acro: Slick ponytail at the back of the head.

✨ Any performers with short hair: Neatly styled off the face with gel or hairspray.

Makeup:

Our dancers are perfect just the way they are - makeup isn’t about changing that. For our concerts, it’s simply part of the costume, much like a tutu, head piece, or pair of tap shoes. Under bright stage lights, it helps facial expressions be seen from the audience and supports the storytelling of each dance. It’s a gentle tradition in the performing arts that adds to the excitement of the day, and while always optional, it can make the performance feel even more special for our young dancers.

💡Suggested: light foundation, blush/bronzer, neutral brown eyeshadow, brown/black eyeliner & mascara, and red long‑wear lipstick. No coloured eyeshadow or glitter.

Shoes:

Please see the Performer Requirements page for the exact dance shoes needed for each class.

✨ Ballet Shoes - leather or canvas | pink (girls) or black (boys) | split sole or full sole | elastics (no ribbons)

✨ Jazz Shoes - tan (girls) or black (boys)

✨ Tap Shoes - tan (girls) or black lace up (boys)

Tights:

Please see the Performer Requirements page for the exact dance tights needed for each class. As a general guide, tights should match the colour of your shoes:

✨ Ballet Tights – Salmon: To match leather ballet shoes.

✨ Ballet Tights – Pink: To match canvas ballet shoes.

✨ Jazz Tights – Bronze: To match jazz and tap shoes.*

*Exception: Tiny Jazz & Tap, Mini Jazz & Tap, and Petite Jazz & Tap wear ballet tights with their tap shoes — either ballet pink or salmon is acceptable.

Undergarments:

✨ Girls: Skin‑tone leotard or plain high‑cut briefs (no bright colours, patterns, low‑cut, or boy‑leg styles).
✨ Boys: Choice of underwear under black leggings.

Supervision

Your child’s safety and comfort are our top priority on concert day.

⭐ Fully supervised: From the moment you drop your child off until you collect them after the show, they are ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ supervised by Premier Dance staff.

⭐ Backstage support: We help performers with costume changes, keep them entertained while they wait, and make ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ sure they are side‑stage and ready for their performance.

⭐ Only approved staff and helpers are allowed backstage — no parents in dressing or side‑stage areas for safety ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ and to keep the performance area calm.

⭐ Pick‑up: After the concert, you’ll collect your child from the stage area once the audience has cleared and the ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ stage is safe to enter.

We do everything possible to ensure each performer feels supported, calm, and confident so they can focus on enjoying their moment on stage.

Rehearsals & Commitment

Performing in the Junior Concert is completely optional for all students.

✨ No extra rehearsals are required — your child will learn their concert routine during their regular weekly class.

✨ Concert routines will be introduced in Term 3 alongside normal class content.

✨ Consistent attendance in Term 3 and Term 4 is important to help your child feel confident and well-prepared.

✨ Teachers will make sure every dancer knows their steps and is ready to shine on stage.

We understand the end of the year is a busy time for families, so we’ve kept our concert preparation simple and manageable. Our goal is for every performer to enjoy the process and feel proud of their performance.

Costumes

We take care of all costume requirements for the Junior Concert - there’s no need for you to make or purchase anything, except for your performer's own shoes, tights & undergarment.

Your Concert Levy includes:

⭐ Hire of all costumes (supplied by Premier Dance)

⭐ Professional-quality costumes in excellent condition or brand new

⭐ All alterations, repairs, and cleaning after the concert

We own an extensive wardrobe of high‑quality, professionally‑made dance costumes and regularly add new pieces to ensure every performer looks and feels their best.

Most dance schools require families to purchase costumes (often $80–$150 each), but our hire system keeps costs manageable while still providing top‑quality costumes for every student.

Costumes remain the property of Premier Dance and cannot be sold individually, as each piece belongs to a full set.

Concert Schedule

Each class performs one item in one show only. If your child is in multiple classes or has siblings in other shows, please check the schedule for all relevant performance times.

If you’re unsure of your child’s class name, you can find it in your Parent Portal or on your Term 3 invoice.

We carefully plan the schedule to minimise the need for families to attend multiple shows wherever possible. However, in some cases, you may need to attend more than one concert to see all of your child’s performances or to watch siblings in different shows. Please refer to the Ticketing Information section for details about complimentary tickets available for families in this situation.

Performers should arrive 45 minutes before their scheduled show time.

Multiple Concerts Policy

We do our best to schedule so that families only need to attend one concert.

In some cases, you may need to attend more than one concert if:

⭐ Your child is enrolled in multiple classes that are scheduled in different concerts, or

⭐ You have siblings whose classes are scheduled in different concerts.

If this applies to your family, you may be eligible for two complimentary adult tickets for any extra concerts you need to attend to see your child/ren perform each of their items once.

Eligibility:
You may receive a refund for up to 2 adult tickets for each additional show you need to attend if:

✅ Your child performs different items in more than one concert, or

✅ You have siblings performing in different concerts (including Junior and Senior Concerts).

Not eligible:

❌ If your child is performing the same item in multiple concerts (e.g. singing, company item, or other repeated item).

How to claim your complimentary tickets:

Book and pay for all tickets for all shows you will be attending.
Email staff@thepremierdance.com to let us know you have booked all tickets, with the subject line Ticket Refund.
We will process a refund for any complimentary tickets you are eligible for (up to 2 adult tickets per extra show).

Accessible Seating

If someone in your group requires wheelchair access or accessible seating, we will have a process in place to arrange these seats for your whole group.

All accessible seating is blocked from the online booking system so it can be reserved for those who need it. While these spaces are prioritised for patrons with mobility needs, we will do our best to seat your family together - or at least part of your group if you have a large booking.

We will remind families about how to request accessible seating when we email the confirmed date and time that ticket sales will open.

Important:

💖 Prams do not qualify as accessible seating and cannot be taken into the auditorium due to fire safety regulations.

💖 Accessible seating is reserved for patrons with mobility needs, and spaces are limited.

We’re happy to help make your concert experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

📸 Photos & 🎥 Video

Professional Photography

All Senior Concert performers will have professional photos taken in costume on concert day by our regular photographer, Ranald Simmonds.

🤍 Photos will be taken backstage in the designated photo area during your child's concert.

🤍 We will endeavour to photograph every performer in every costume if time permits, however this may not always ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ be ‎possible for those ‎‎performing in multiple items.

🤍 Photos will be available to view and order via the Ranald Simmonds Photography website in the weeks following.

🤍 Ordering is optional for families who would like an individual photo of their child in costume.

This means we will not be holding separate “Photo Week” sessions during class time this year.

Professional Video Recording

All concerts will be professionally filmed by Limelight Multimedia.

💛 Every family will receive a digital download of their child’s concert recording - this is included in your Concert Levy.

💛 Links will be provided a few days after the concert.

⚠️ Important: Due to copyright laws and to respect the performers, filming or photography during the concert is not permitted. Any audience member seen recording may be asked to leave the auditorium. We appreciate your cooperation in allowing everyone to sit back, relax, and enjoy the performance.

🌟 Concert Levy

The Concert Levy is a one‑off fee that covers the main costs for your child to participate in the Senior Concert. This keeps things simple all essential concert participation costs are bundled together, with no extra costume or rehearsal fees.

If your child is performing in both the Junior and Senior Concerts, you’ll only need to pay one Concert Levy. This will usually be the levy for the concert (Junior or Senior) in which they have the most performance items.

💡The correct amount for your child will be automatically calculated and pre‑filled on your registration form.

Included in the Concert Levy:

✅ Hire of all costumes – professionally made, supplied, fitted, cleaned, and maintained by Premier Dance.

✅ 2025 Concert T‑shirt – a keepsake for every performer.

✅ Professional video recording of your child’s concert – digital download link provided a few days after the show.

✅ Full supervision and coordination by our experienced staff during your child’s concert experience.

Not included (families to supply):

❌ Correct shoes, tights, and undergarment (see Performer Requirements).

❌ Hair styling products and makeup for concert day.

⚠️ Important: The Concert Levy is non‑refundable.

📝 Concert Registration

How to register for the SeniorConcert:
Late registration or those who have enrolled since 9 August 2025:

1️⃣ Read the Senior Concert Information
Read through the Senior Concert Information Hub on this page and and check your child’s concert time in the Concert Schedule.

2️⃣ Registration Form – CLICK HERE to complete a Concert Registration Form.Please fill in your details and your child’s details, list the classes they will perform with (Name/Day/Time/Location – e.g. Kindy Dance Monday 3:30pm Milton), and select your child’s t-shirt size.

3️⃣ Complete Your Form

We kindly ask that you complete the form as soon as possible so we can finalise costumes and choreography. For families who have recently joined us, we understand you missed the original closing date of Saturday 9 August (which applied to existing families). Thank you for submitting your form quickly so we can ensure your child is included in our planning.

4️⃣ Concert Levy Invoice
Your Concert Levy invoice will be emailed to you within 1–2 business days, with payment due within 7 days.
