Comdance Tap Exams 2023

Entries close Monday 17th July. Late entries cannot be accepted.

Your child is invited to take part in a Comdance Tap Exam, to be held on Thursday 7th September this year at the Premier Dance Academy Milton studios. All assessments are held on a weekday during school time.

These are taken by an external examiner from the Comdance Foundation and require a high level of technique and performance in order to meet the necessary criteria. Entrants perform their syllabus work that has been covered in their classes this year, and will receive a result form, certificate & medal upon completion.

Assessments are always optional at Premier Dance. If you choose not to enter your child's progress will not be affected. They will be eligible to move to the next grade and do an assessment next year if desired.

Commitment: Students wishing to participate in an assessment must commit to full attendance at their regular classes. All entrants will be required to attend 1x compulsory workshop on Sunday 30th July. See below for your child's workshop time - please do not enter if you are unavailable on these dates.

Workshop Schedule:

Sunday 30th July

Junior Tap: 10am - 11am

Pre-Inter Tap: 9am - 10am

Inter/Sub-Senior Tap: 1:15pm - 2:15pm

Sub-Senior Tap: 2:15pm - 3:15pm

Senior Tap Clayfield: 11am - 12pm

Senior Tap Milton: 12:15pm - 1:15pm

Uniform on the day:

GIRLS

• Premier Dance Black Bike Shorts/Leggings

• Premier Dance Black Singlet Top

• Tan Tap Shoes (Senior/Advanced may wear black)

• Tan Jazz Tights or Tan Jazz Socks (if wearing Leggings)

• Hair in a neat, secure ballet bun

BOYS

Black Shorts

White or Black T-Shirt or Singlet Top

Black Tap Shoes

Black Socks

Grooming & presentation will be assessed. Jewellery and Makeup are not allowed

To enter: Complete the online registration & payment below by Monday 17th July. By registering your child's participation in the Comdance Tap Exam you agree to attend all regular classes during Term 3 and the compulsory workshops on Sunday 30th July.
